Purchase Policy

This Ticket Purchase Policy governs the purchase, use, transfer, and redemption of tickets purchased through SCM Events (“SCM Events,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing, possessing, or using a ticket obtained through SCM Events, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Payment Methods
SCM Events accepts approved payment methods made available at checkout, including:
- Major credit and debit cards
- PayPal
- Other approved electronic payment methods
All payments must be successfully processed before tickets are issued.
SCM Events reserves the right to cancel any transaction that cannot be verified or that appears fraudulent.
2. Who You Are Buying From
SCM Events operates as a ticketing and event services platform.
Depending on the event, tickets may be sold directly by:
- SCM Events
- Jay Shields Promotions, LLC
- Independent event organizers
- Promoters, venues, or other authorized third parties
The event organizer is responsible for producing and operating the event. The event organizer’s name will typically appear on the event listing or ticket page.
By purchasing a ticket, you understand that your transaction may be with the event organizer rather than SCM Events.
3. Third-Party Event Organizers
For events hosted by third-party organizers, SCM Events may provide:
- Ticketing services
- Marketing services
- Promotional services
- Event listing services
- Customer communication services
SCM Events is not responsible for:
- Event content
- Event quality
- Artist appearances
- Venue operations
- Event management decisions
- Organizer actions or omissions
Questions regarding event operations should be directed to the event organizer whenever possible.
4. Ticket Redemption
Tickets are issued electronically.
Admission may require:
- A digital ticket displayed on a mobile device
- A printed ticket containing a valid QR code
Physical tickets are not mailed unless specifically stated.
Attendees are responsible for ensuring that tickets are accessible before arriving at the venue.
Lost, damaged, altered, duplicated, or unreadable tickets may be denied entry.
Please print your tickets in standard portrait format or have them available on your mobile device for scanning upon arrival. Incorrect sizing or damaged barcodes may affect ticket scanning and admission.
5. Student Tickets
Certain events may offer discounted Student Admission tickets.
To qualify, attendees must present:
- A valid student identification card; or
- Other acceptable proof of current enrollment if requested
Student verification is required at entry.
Failure to provide valid student identification may result in:
- Denial of entry; or
- Requirement to pay the difference between the student price and the applicable admission price
Student tickets are not refundable or exchangeable due to failure to meet eligibility requirements.
6. Order Confirmation and Processing
Following a successful purchase, an order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to:
- Provide accurate contact information
- Verify order details
- Check spam or junk folders for confirmation emails
SCM Events is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect email addresses, spam filtering, internet service interruptions, or user error.
Duplicate purchases are the responsibility of the purchaser.
7. Refunds, Credits, and Exchanges
All Sales Final
Unless otherwise required by law or specifically authorized by the event organizer, all ticket sales are final.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Scheduling conflicts
- Travel delays
- Weather conditions
- Failure to attend
- Personal emergencies
- Performer lineup changes
- Seating preferences
- Venue preferences
Event Cancellation
If an event is officially canceled and not rescheduled, refund eligibility will be determined by the event organizer.
Promotional Pricing
Promotional prices, discounted tickets, nominee rates, student rates, early-bird pricing, VIP offers, and special promotions are available only during designated periods and cannot be applied retroactively.
Credits and Exchanges
Unless specifically approved by the organizer, credits and exchanges are not offered.
8. Ticket Transfers
Tickets may not be transferred between SCM Events accounts.
If permitted by the event organizer, ticket holder information may be updated prior to the event.
SCM Events reserves the right to require verification before making ownership changes.
Tickets obtained through unauthorized means may be canceled without notice.
9. Canceled, Postponed, Rescheduled, and Moved Events
Canceled Events
If an event is canceled and not rescheduled, purchasers may be eligible for a refund as determined by the event organizer.
Postponed or Rescheduled Events
Unless otherwise stated, tickets for postponed or rescheduled events will remain valid for the new date.
Venue Changes
Events may be moved to another venue within the same market or geographic area when necessary.
Tickets will generally remain valid unless otherwise announced.
Travel Expenses
SCM Events is not responsible for:
- Airline tickets
- Hotel expenses
- Transportation costs
- Parking expenses
- Lost wages
- Other incidental or consequential expenses
10. Service Fees, Processing Fees, and Taxes
Ticket purchases may include:
- Service fees
- Processing fees
- Facility fees
- Venue fees
- Applicable taxes
Unless required by law, service fees and processing fees are non-refundable.
Digital ticket delivery may be included in applicable service fees.
11. Entry and Security Screening
Admission to any event is subject to venue policies and security procedures.
Attendees may be required to:
- Present identification
- Present a valid ticket
- Submit to security screening
- Submit to bag inspections
Prohibited items may include:
- Weapons
- Illegal substances
- Outside alcohol
- Fireworks
- Hazardous materials
- Professional recording equipment (where prohibited)
- Other prohibited items identified by the venue or organizer
Entry may be denied or revoked without refund for failure to comply with venue or event policies.
12. Unlawful Resale of Tickets
Tickets may not be copied, altered, forged, or resold in violation of applicable laws.
Counterfeit tickets are void.
SCM Events reserves the right to:
- Cancel suspicious transactions
- Refuse admission
- Restrict future purchases
- Investigate fraudulent activity
Only tickets purchased through authorized channels are guaranteed to be valid.
13. Promotions, Contests, and Commercial Use
Tickets may not be used for:
- Advertising campaigns
- Promotions
- Contests
- Sweepstakes
- Commercial giveaways
- Business incentives
without prior written authorization from SCM Events or the event organizer.
Unauthorized promotional use may result in cancellation of tickets without refund.
